Financial Education
School has organised a
programme on FINANCED EDUCATION on
18th November 2014. Two representatives from the Reserve Bank of India, Kolkata visited
Bhavan’s G.K. Vidyamandir, Salt Lake for an interactive session of class XI and
XII. Around 70 students attended this session, which comprised of the showing
of a presentation, and quiz. The power point presentation enlightened the students
on the pros and cons of banking, functions of R.B.I. and how to distinguish between
a real and fake note. The students were also given some comics which explained
banking procedure in a fun way through cartoons. Questions asked by the
students were entertained and answered, and students seemed hungry for more.
The quiz had 25 questions, based on banking and financial matter. Prizes were
given to the winners of the quiz. On the whole the students came out of the
room with a brain, more enriched with information about how the R.B.I. works,
and how it helps the country to have a stable economy.
