Students across 6 standards will gather information
about currencies of the world to understand the evolution and importance of
currency.
Students find out about the evolution of money by a
study of the ancient civilisations like Indus Valley, Egyptian, Mesopotamian,
and Chinese. They prepare charts and replicas of coins with a special emphasis
on the materials used in the preparation of coins/ currency throughout the
ages. They also gather and exhibit coins/ currency notes in use as well as
those that have become obsolete in the recent past, pictures of which can be
exchanged. Charts will be prepared on the currencies of different countries.
There will also be a showcase event on the evolution and future of money.
