Our school organised an inter-school football tournament, 'GOALZZ' from the 1st to 6th of May, 2014. 10 reputed schools from all over the city participated in the event. Four groups were made of three teams each. The tournament kicked off with a match between our school and another neighbouring school.  Four teams went on to the semi-finals. The matches were enjoyed and the teams were cheered for by the spectators.

The students of the host school, with Psychology as a part of their curriculum, interviewed several players to draw a comparison between their behavioural disposition before and after a match. This was an integral part of their Board project and a pretty interesting session for the players.

During the prize distribution ceremony on the concluding day, Akash Dave of La Martiniere for Boys school was adjudged the 'Best Player of the Tournament'. Neelayan Sikdar of Bhavan's Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir School received the 'Most Valuable Player' award, while Akash Mondal of St. James School bagged the 'Top scorer' award.

The tournament was instrumental in showcasing the talent of budding players; it aimed at encouraging more students to explore the field of sports and to establish physical fitness as an integral element for the holistic development of an individual; several of the players looked forward to the next edition of the tournament.  It was a grand success and was appreciated by all the participating teams.
